The Edwardian Period

The Edwardian era (1901 to 1910) saw the beginning of a new century, a new king and a new style. The dark, heavy look of the Victorian era was out, and was replaced swiftly by lighter and more delicate designs. This was the time of Art Nouveau.

Light, delicate, and simple of detail were key features of furniture design in the Edwardian era.
